Associating a Picture with a Name

You can associate a picture with any name. For example, you could associate an image of a client with his name record. Pictures associated with names appear in the Picture Window when the name is opened in the Name window.

NOTE: Check the Samples directory in the Abacus program group. There are sample pictures for each of the clients and attorneys in that database.

1. The picture must be saved in a bitmap (.bmp) or JPEG (.jpg) format.

2. Name the image with the ID number of the name. For example, if the name ID is RE-1234, then name the picture RE-1234.bmp or RE-1234.jpg.

3. Move the picture to the Pictures subdirectory where the program files are stored. By default, this will be Abacus\Pictures\Names.
