Enhanced Document Management Administration
Administrators have the option to force cancelling a document check out. This means that any changes to the document are not saved, and the document is checked back in so that it is available to be checked out again.
To force cancel a check out, administrators can do any of the following:

Right-click the document and click Force Cancel Check-Out.

Highlight the document and click Edit. The Document Details window appears. Click Check In/Check Out and click Force Cancel Check-Out.

From the Checked Out Documents Browse, right-click the document and click Force Cancel Check-Out.
