Stamping Notes to a Name or Matter Field

The NoteType field can be posted to a field in the Names database for easier filtering of sources.

Identify the field that will store the NoteType by manually editing LawSys.ini in the data directory and adding one or both of these settings to the Notes section:

[Notes]

StampNameField=XXXXXXXXXX

StampMatterField=XXXXXXXXXX

where XXXXXXXXXX is the name of a 10-character (or larger) field you have added to your Names (or Matters) database. The field you specify in StampNameField is populated when you stamp notes from the Name window, and StampMatterField is used when running this from the Matter window.
