Unique Database Properties

This window lets you set the properties for the selected database.

The following describes the settings on the window:

  • Number (UDN): The Unique Database Number - acts as a prefix for each record's data package file names (cannot be changed from this window).

  • Description: The description of the database. Example: Main, Home, etc.

  • Type of connection: Indicates the type of synchronization to be used, either Direct or Not connected.

Under Data Package Tracking:

NOTE: The Data Package Tracking settings should only be changed if you are absolutely sure you need to fix a problem regarding lost or missing data packages. They are used to make sure that data packages are always processed in order to ensure data integrity.

  • Next number to send: The sequence number of the next data package this database is to send.

  • Next number to receive: The sequence number of the next data package this database is to receive.

  • Default Collision Handling: Lets you select the default collision handling for this database. To change, click the button. The Synchronization Collision Handling window appears. Select an option and click OK.

For non-connected databases only:

  • When Sending Changes: The path to copy the data package to.

  • When Receiving Changes: The path to copy the data package from.
