Re-linking Matters to a Different Name

You can re-assign matters to a new linked name (e.g. if a new adjuster takes over the matters of another).

This feature is controlled by the security switch for "Edit XREF (cross reference)". If you don't want some users changing linked name/matter cross references, you can change their security profile to disable it.

1. At the Name window's Linked Matters tab, set a query to filter the linked matters list so only the ones you want to change appear.

2. Right-click the linked matters list and select Re-link all to new Name. The Name to move the links to window (a browse of names) appears.

3. Highlight the new name to attach to these matters and click Select. The matters will disappear as they are now attached to the other name record.
