Overview of the Timeslips Link

Here's how the optional link to Timeslips will help you eliminate duplicate data entry, make billing easier, and increase your billable time:

• Eliminate duplicate data entry. You will never have to enter new names or make changes to addresses and telephone numbers in both programs again. Once linked, changes in one program are made in the other program without re-typing.

• Make billing easier: You can create a bill slip in Timeslips for any event (appointment, phone call, etc.) or note in Abacus. Just click the Bill button in Abacus (or select Bill from the right-click menu.)

• Increase you billable time: Because it is so fast and easy to create a bill slip while you are typing a note or marking an event "done", you'll increase billable time two ways: a) you will capture more of those billable minutes that used to slip through the cracks, especially during interruptions; b) you will spend less time on the non-billable administrative tasks like billing, and have more billable time during the day.

Note that Abacus links to the 32-bit versions of Timeslips (version 9 and later). If you use Timeslips version 8 or earlier, you must either update to a new version of Timeslips or disable the link.
