Click the Call Mgr button on the toolbar.
Click the Modem Setup button.
Change the settings for the window as necessary:
Dial all numbers literally: When selected, the Phone Dialer will dial numbers exactly as they are written.
COM Port: The COM Port that your modem is configured to use. If you are unsure, you can cycle through 1-4 until the phone dialer functions.
Local area code: Your local area code. Be sure to enter this field so the area code will not be dialed when calling local numbers.
Long distance: The number you dial to get national long distance (usually 1). You can also include access codes if necessary.
International: The number you dial to get international long distance (usually 011).
Other Prefix: Other number(s) you must dial during phone usage for your firm. For example, many companies require you to dial 9 to access an outside line. NOTE: You can use commas to create a pause when dialing other prefixes.
Suffix: Any suffix numbers you might have to use. Suffix numbers are sometimes used in telephony products to identify who has made the call, as in automated billing.
Click OK.
