Click Add.
Enter the date of the credit/discount.
Select the matter to apply it to.
For Client Exp.
Code, click the lookup button. The Client
Expense Codes Browse window opens. Select the client expense
code for a discount or credit.
If you do not have a code like that, click Add
and add the code. For example, you could enter a code of DIS
with a description of Courtesy Discount.
Set Type of Code to Fee.
Enter the amount of the credit/discount.
Change the description as desired. (The description appears on the bill.)
Change Debit/Credit to Credit.
If you do not want the client to see the discount or credit on their next bill, change Bill Type to Billed. This will cause the credit to affect their balance, but not appear as a line item on the bill.
Click Save.
Highlight the credit/discount entry and click Post to post it.
