Reversing Whole Trust Checks
To reverse a trust check, void it.
When you void a trust check, the money is added back to the account the check was written against, and a reverse transaction is made to the client trust activity, so the client gets the money refunded.
Partially Reversing Trust Checks Applied to Multiple Matters
If you need to reverse a transaction from a trust check that was applied to multiple matters, but only need to reverse it on a small number of those matters and would prefer not to void the whole check, enter a trust deposit on each matter for the amount of the withdrawal that you need to correct on that matter. Then, before posting the deposit, change the deposit date to the date of the trust check.
