Overview of User Management

Users are the operators of Abacus who enter or access data. To use AbacusLaw, Abacus Accounting, or Abacus Reports, you need a User ID (also called an Operator code).

Administrators can maintain users from the User Manager window. To open the window, select File > Setup > User Manager.

The green symbol indicates that the user has access to accounting.

To see all users, click Show all. To see only active users, click Show active.

From this window, administrators can:

• Add/edit/clone users

• Deactivate/reactivate users

• Set hours of Abacus operation for users

• Perform an ad-hoc shutdown for all users

• Assign security access profiles to users

• Enable and set up Single Sign-On

• Set notifications for users

• Print a list of users
