Performing an Ad-hoc Shutdown for All Users

Administrators can perform an ad-hoc shutdown of Abacus on an as-needed basis. When Abacus shuts down, it gently forces all users out of the application.

1. EITHER click Shutdown on the User Manager window, OR select File > Setup > Scheduled Shutdown. The User Working Hours window appears.
   
   

2. In the Scheduled shutdown section, enter the number of seconds before users are forced out of the system in the Alert countdown interval field.

3. In the Immediate shutdown section, enter the time when users can use Abacus again in the Let users back in at field.

4. Click Shutdown Now. A window appears asking you if you are sure you want to shut down immediately. Click Yes.
