Overview of Privacy
Any user with adequate security rights can mark their events and notes as “private” by selecting Private on the Event or Note window. Only the user that marked a record private can see the information.
If an attorney creates a private event for two hours, the secretary will not be able to see that event on the calendar. But if the secretary attempts to schedule another event for the same Who code during that time, a Schedule Conflict window appears with the message that a private event is scheduled and shows the start time and duration.
NOTE: Normal operations in Abacus hide private records from other users. But this is a shared network database, and there are circumstances where administrators or people working outside the control of the program might see the information. Before you start entering extremely sensitive data and marking it private, be aware of these risks.
