Making Holidays into the Future

Abacus can create the standard holidays for as many years in the future as you would like. This prevents any accidental scheduling of events on a holiday. It is especially useful when scheduling with rules whose due dates may be a year or more into the future.

Be careful if you print an events report with a time interval of "All future". If you have holidays for the next ten years, you could accidentally waste a lot of paper. You would want to attach a query to a report like this to include or exclude certain types of events.

Follow these steps to make holidays into the future:

  1. From the Holidays window, click Make. The Make Holidays window appears.

  2. Enter the number of years for which you want to continue to schedule the standard holidays.

  3. Click Done. The Holidays window reappears.
