Overview of Reports

Abacus includes an extensive list of standard report templates that can be used to generate reports. In addition, you can customize any of the existing report templates or add new ones from scratch. Combined with the index and query features in Abacus, reports can be built to output your data in almost any format you could ever want.

Abacus can create the following report types.

  • Block: Block reports provide multiple lines of data for each record.

  • Column: Column reports provide a one-line per record display of data. These reports are usually called "Lists" (such as Names List or Matters List).

  • Labels: Labels reports provide almost any type of label including standard mailing labels and folder labels.

  • Calendar: Calendar reports provide weekly, monthly, or yearly graphical calendars.
