Getting Started with Abacus Dashboard

Abacus Dashboard is designed to display Abacus information and Internet content using a set of intelligent apps. Abacus Dashboard provides a way to configure and access your favorite features in AbacusLaw. It is ready to use as is or it can be customized to match your style.

Abacus Dashboard:

  • Is individualized - Easily configure your Dashboard to fit how you like to work: Choose the layout and apps you want.

  • Provides instant access – The information you want most is now front and center in your Dashboard. Choose your favorite clients and cases for one-click access to them.

  • Provides access to Google apps - Search the web with Google Search, check your email with Gmail, get news with Google News, or choose other apps for your personalized Dashboard.

  • Includes visibility to key performance indicators - Never wonder “have I met my billable goals?” or “how much time do I spend on each type of case?” Dashboard graphs let you monitor your important metrics and track your progress towards your goals.

The Abacus Dashboard displays Abacus information and Internet content using a set of intelligent apps in a layout of your choosing. Your Dashboard is ready to use as is or can be customized to match your style.

To open the Abacus Dashboard

Do any of the following from AbacusLaw:

  • Select Tools > Dashboard from the menu,

  • Press F3, or

  • Click the Dashboard button () in the lower right corner of the Abacus window.

To hide the Abacus Dashboard at any time

Press F3.

First steps for using the Abacus Dashboard

  1. Change the layout of the Dashboard.

  2. Add or remove apps for your Abacus Dashboard to customize it for the way you want to use it.
  3. Resize or reposition your apps on the Dashboard to get it to look the way you want.

  4. Save the Dashboard as My Dashboard so it becomes the default Dashboard for your user profile.
