Viewing/Managing All Records in Extra Databases

You can view/manage records in extra databases from the extra database tab on the Name window or Matter window or from the Extra Database window, which is accessed from the ExtraDBs menu.

  • To access an extra database tab on the Name/Matter window, ensure that the Name or Matter window is using the screen that includes the extra database: Then, select the Extra Database tab.

  • Once an extra database has been created and at least one record has been added to it, the extra database is listed under the ExtraDBs main menu option. Select ExtraDBs and then click the extra database you want to work with. The Extra Database window appears listing the records in the selected extra database.

From the extra database tab on the Name/Matter window or from the Extra Database window, you can do any of the following.

To add a record

Click Add. The Add record window appears. Enter the values for the fields and click Done.

To edit a record

Highlight the record you want to edit and click Edit. The Edit record window appears. Make changes as necessary and click Done.

To clone a record

Highlight the record you want to clone and click Clone. The Clone record window appears. Fields are filled with the selected record's values. Make changes as necessary and click Done.

To delete records

Highlight the records and click Delete. A window appears asking you if you are sure you want to delete the records. Click Yes.

To print records

If you want to print all records, click Print and then click All.

If you want to print highlighted records, highlight the records you want to print. Then, click Print and click Highlighted.

If you want to print tagged records, check the records you want to print. Then, click Print and click Tagged.

To open a linked name or matter

Highlight the record. Then, click Go to and click Linked Name or Linked Matter.
