Adding/Editing Fillable Form Templates
NOTE: Fillable form templates only work with PDF fillable forms. They are not applicable for word processing or MS Excel fillable forms.
-
From the Forms Library, highlight a PDF fillable form and open the Fillable Forms Template Manager.
-
Do one of the following:
-
To add a fillable form template, click Add.
-
To edit a fillable form template, highlight the template you want to edit and click Edit.
-
-
The selected PDF fillable form appears in the Forms Filler window. Notice the first toolbar button is now called Template. Add fields to the form and enter data into the form fields that you want saved into the template. Click here for help using the Forms Filler.
-
Click the Template button. The Select the fields to save to a Template window appears.
-
Enter/edit the name of the template in the Template name box. Template names cannot contain spaces and cannot be more than 30 characters.
-
The fields that have values have an entry in the Value column. Check the fields that you want to include in the template. Notice that the list shows the form field names and any data field mappings (a checkbox to the right tells you which kind of field it is). If you save a data field to a template, then when it is applied to a form all fields that use that data mapping use the template's value. If you save a form field to a template, then only the single field with the same name in the form is set to its value.
-
Click Save.
