Overview of Field Templates

Field templates let you define default values to be used when entering new records. Use field templates to automatically initialize new records or to assign fields interactively while editing.

You manage field templates from the Field Template Manager window. To open the window, select File > Setup > Field Template.

For field templates you can do any of the following:

• Add/edit field templates

• Clone field templates

• Delete field templates

• Auto apply field templates

• Manually apply field templates
