MessageSlips Icon
The MessageSlips icon appears in the system tray, which is located to the far right of the task bar. The system tray contains icons that represent programs that are currently running, usually in the background. It can also include the system clock and volume controls.
NOTE: Don't confuse the system tray with the Quick Launch bar located to the left of the task bar. The Quick Launch bar is used to run programs that are not yet running.
Click the MessageSlips icon in these ways to use MessageSlips:
-
Right-click the MessageSlips icon to view the MessageSlips menu. Click elsewhere to clear it, or click Exit Abacus MessageSlips to close it so your initials appear in red on other stations.
-
Left-click the MessageSlips icon to open a waiting message. If there is no waiting message, the MessageSlips menu appears. NOTE: The keyboard alternative to left-clicking is using the MessageSlips hot key. The default hot key is Alt+Shift+A, but this can be changed in MessageSlips User Preferences.
