Event Menu and Right-Click Menu

In the Event window, the Calendar, the Staff Calendar and the Events Browse window, you can access an event menu by clicking a button (for example, on the Calendar you can click the Event Actions button) OR right-click an event or open slot to see a menu of options. Following are the standard options you will see. Note that not all options are available for every event window.

Menu Option

Description

Add a new Event

Opens the Event window to schedule a new event.

Clone this record

Clones the selected event.

Add Events from a Rule

Schedules a series of events based on a rule.

Add Note for Name and Matter

Opens the Note Editor for the name/matter linked to the selected event.

NOTE: This menu option does not appear if the selected event does not have a linked name or matter.

Reschedule

Reschedules the selected event.

Delete

Deletes the selected event or all tagged events.

Mark Done

Changes the status of the selected event.

Priority

Sets the priority for the selected event.

Recur

Repeats the selected event at regular intervals.

Send

Sends the selected event information in an email or MessageSlips instant message to the event's Who code or name.

Linked Events

Displays any events linked to the selected event.

View linked Matter

Displays the matter linked to the selected event.

View linked Name

Displays the name linked to the selected event.

Print memo

Generates a quick form for the selected event.

Bill

Opens an Abacus Accounting window that starts a time ticket for you based on the information from the selected event.

Form generation

Generates documents using forms. for the selected event and its linked name and matter.

Calendar Setup

Changes the settings for the Calendar.

NOTE: This menu option only appears on the Calendar.

Open another Calendar window

Opens another Calendar window.

NOTE: This menu option only appears on the Calendar Actions menu on the Calendar.

Tagged Events

Clears/Sets/Inverts tags for the events.

NOTE: This menu item only appears on the Events Browse window.
